Vietnamese Meatballs – Crispy, Soft and Flavorful ! A Treasure From my Childhood

I’m going to show you how to make the delicious Vietnamese meatballs.
In my memories, in the market of my hometown, Pakse, in Laos, a Vietnamese vendor of Banh Canh soups served it with these meatballs. They are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside with a tasty stuffing.

👩‍🍳 For 12 meatballs:
Dough:
2 cups glutinous rice flour
1 cup rice flour
1 tbsp sugar
½ tsp salt
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 cup water
1 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp potato starch

Filling:
¼ lb pork (or chicken or shrimp)
¼ cup dehydrated black fungus
1 small onion
2 garlic cloves
1 spring onion
a pinch of salt
½ tsp ground pepper
1 tsp fish sauce
1 tsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp vegetable oil

Frying oil
Chili oil
A little cilantro
