I’m going to show you how to make Lao Siu Mai meatballs. we love to eat them in Banh Mi sandwiches.
These Lao meatballs are an adaptation of Chinese Siu Mai dumplings

👩‍🍳 Ingredients for 4 people:
1 lb pork shoulder or belly
3 dried shiitake mushrooms
1 small onion
3 garlic cloves
1 tsp salt
½ tsp ground pepper
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp Maggi seasoning
1 tbsp sesame oil

to enjoy in Banh Mi:
1 spring onion
a little cilantro
2 French baguettes
chili flakes

vegetable pickles:
1 carrot
½ cucumber
2 oz black or white radish
¼ onion
1 hot chili
½ tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
2 tbsp white rice vinegar
