Grateful Grazing: A Journey Through California’s Harvest, a unique open-house-style event, was held during the California School Nutrition Association’s 72nd Annual Conference on November 14, 2024.
Hosted by CA Grown, Dairy Council of California and the California Beef Council, the event brought together school nutrition leaders, agricultural experts and community partners to explore the vital role of California agriculture in promoting nutrition security, sustainability and healthy child development.
The event featured inspiring remarks from Karen Ross, Secretary of the California Department of Food and Agriculture and Kim Frinzell, Director of Nutrition Services at the California Department of Education.
