Instead of trying to fight against unwanted habits, try this simple strategy instead!
Write out all of the reasons why you DON’T enjoy that habit (as we tend to solely focus on the one tiny piece we do like) and then refer back to these reminders often.
Read it several times a day or when you find yourself wanting to engage in the unwanted habit.
Humans naturally move towards pleasurable experiences, so when you focus on the negative aspects that you do not enjoy, the unwanted habit naturally becomes less appealing!
