Recipe is below:
STEAMED CHINESE CHICKEN WITH GINGER AND GREEN ONIONS
1 package of frozen cut- up chicken
2 to 3 tablespoons peanut oil (or other cooking oil)
1 packet of salty and spicy chicken power (or see video to make your own dry rub
1/4 to 1/2 cup chopped ginger
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1/2 cup peanut oil (or other cooking oil)
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
Wash frozen chicken in cold water. Throw out water and add 2 to 3 tablespoons cooking and rub chicken on both sides. Put chicken on rack in Instant Pot. Optional: Add water and marinate chicken for 1/2 for added flavor.
Put 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot. Put setting on Pressure Cooking setting and set cooking time for 15 minutes. Lock lid in place.
If using a regular pan, put water into pan and bring to a boil Put chicken in a bowl or tray and put into the pan. Cover and steam for 60 minutes. As a rule of thumb, regular pan would time 4 times as an Instant Pot.
Preheat a small wok or small pan at medium heat. Add cooking oil.
I like to use peanut oil. Add chopped ginger and chopped green onions. Stir fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Set aside to pour over chicken when it is removed from the Instant Pot.
