The salad fought back and won. For a minute. 🥬
Been dealing with cyclospora, a parasitic infection you can pick up from contaminated raw produce, and finally on the mend and gaining the weight back. Thanks for being patient while I was MIA.
Real talk though. Pay attention to food safety reports in your area. If there is a cyclospora outbreak near you, cook your vegetables until the situation clears. Heat kills the parasite. Raw greens during an active outbreak are not worth the risk.
If you think you have been exposed, please see a doctor. Cyclospora is treatable. I was prescribed Bactrim and it made a real difference. Do not try to wait it out.
Choose wisely. Cook your veggies. Be well. 💪🏾
