πŸ™Œ This is the wrap recipe I make every week. 4g of protein, 4g of fibre, and only 3 ingredients.

🌯 Wraps are so handy for quick breakfasts and lunches, but most supermarket ones are ultra-processed, low in fibre and packed with additives that are not great for gut health.

So I went on a mission, testing viral wrap recipes and this is the one that stuck. These homemade wraps give you 4g of fibre and 4g of protein each, they are cheap, easy to make and ready in minutes with simple ingredients you already have at home.

Swapping out ultra-processed foods is a really simple way to support your overall health, and we’ve got a whole category on The Doctor’s Kitchen app dedicated to exactly that. Download and have a browse today.

Ingredients (makes 4)

75g porridge oats (rolled)
25g flaxseed (linseed), milled
250ml water
Β½ tsp fine salt

Method:

1. Place the oats into a blender and blend until you have a flour-like consistency.
2. Add the flax, water, and salt and blend again until you have a smooth batter.
3. Heat a small amount of olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Pour in the batter and gently swirl it around the pan or use the back of a spoon, until you have a wide flat surface. Cook for 3–4 minutes on each side, until they are sturdy enough to flip without breaking. Remove onto a wire rack to cool before using. The batter will thicken as it rests; add small splashes of water to loosen as needed.
