Let me tell you this place is IT. This is the best Chinese Restaurant we’ve ever been to. They are so kind and extremely Vegan friendly. Everything we had was perfectly cooked and delivered to the table at the appropriate time. Let them know you’re vegan and they’ll make sure there is no cross contamination. The owner and staff were very accommodating and friendly . It’s now our goto place when it comes to Chinese dining. Highly recommend to our Vegan friends in the area or if you’re driving... through it’s a must stop.read more

One of the best places for chinese in Tucson, i have been going for years and it never disappoints! Vegetarian options: The amount of vegetrian options is amazing! Dietary restrictions: If you ask they will cook with no salt or sugar, it's super beneficial for my health!

A little different from the typical "American Chinese" restaurant. They accept all kinds of customizations (no added salt, no deep frying, etc.) aimed at providing healthier Chinese food than typical. They're very friendly, helpful and detail-oriented when placing pick-up orders. Their lo mein dishes are amazing!

Super tasty, what you would expect when you sit down to eat Chinese food. I had the triple mushroom chicken and it was delicious! The shrimp fried rice was excellent as well. A hidden gem!

Wonderful people, speedy and attentive service! SUPER tasty and fresh food, quality ingredients prepared very well. I had the pineapple chicken with fried rice, he had the mu shu three delight and we shared the sampler appetizer. Extremely yummy and filling. We will be back soon!

After many of the vegan reviews recommending us to give this place a try we dined in this evening. Once we got to the restaurant to be seated we were greeted by our server, Tony. He was very pleasant and educated us on the fact that 6 months ago they found out all their vegan “Chik’n” and “shrimp” meats for the entrees contained milk as they are VEGETARIAN NOT VEGAN. I repeat NEITHER OF THESE TWO ARE VEGAN so if you consumed these today dating back 6 months you’ve been compromised as a vegan.... He was very open and honest about what we could have and we were extremely grateful because we wanted to try the Vegan Sesame “Chik’n” and we would’ve gotten sick if we did tonight. The only option for us to try was from the vegetable dishes as well as the sesame vegan “beef” ($11.95) this came deep fried in gluten free flour. It wasn’t seasoned, and was very chewy, almost rubbery, and the sesame sauce didn’t wow us. It had very light flavors and it was supposed to be spicy which it wasn’t. We also tried the vegetable fried rice with no egg and we actually enjoyed that more than the entrees (Sesame Beef) . The rice was $8.50 and came with peas, carrots, little onion and 4 pieces of broccoli. We added soy sauce for extra flavoring and it was shared amongst two people but realistically one person could enjoy it alone. The Vegetable Egg Rolls aren’t Vegan, as they contain milk. The added bonus was the fact that they served beer and wine. Domestics are $3.95 and all others were $4.25. They are 12oz bottles. Tony was awesome, I can’t stress that enough. The rice and beer and the great customer service is why I gave a 3/5 but realistically we more than likely won’t try again until they have VEGAN “meat” alternatives for us to try that we’d really enjoy. The overall rate of the food itself was a 5/10. Thats on taste, portion size, flavoring and quality.
If you go, have the rice or try a vegan vegetable based dish, tofu or the shredded potatoes (recommendation by tony). The place is small & clean. More than likely more appealing for a meat eater.read more

Great food and service. Just move back to Tucson after many years. Found this place on line 15 minutes from home. Have been 3 times now and I tell everyone about their food. Will continue to eat here. Can't wait to introduce my daughter to this great little restaurant.

This is a great little, cozy spot to dine. I love it because it has vegan options for most dishes, and they will customize your order (light oil, no oil, low salt, salt-free). Great, friendly service. Delicious food at reasonable prices!! Worth a try, especially if you're plant-based or vegan. If you're not, you'll LOVE it too!!

I visit this lovely place from time to time! This is my favorite spot to grab a bite. I visit this spot at least once a month. The meals are excellent, the workers are welcoming and the payment is good. I enjoy being in this place over a rich supper.

Although small in size, this Chinese restaurant is very big when it comes to putting together it's food. Yesterday evening we both ordered beef Chou mein. There was enough for the meal plus 2 lunches at home. We like that the food is msg free. You can order gluten free if you wish. The veggies were perfectly El dente. The beef was just right, also. Thinly sliced and tender. Don't have a picture this time. We will go back!

We actually got there a little bit late while meeting family and they closed at 9pm. We got there close to 8:30. Usually, you think that the place would re-heat items or whatever but EVERYTHING was hot, fresh and so tasty. They have a vegetarian/vegan part on the menu. My mother has a severe pork allergy and they took great care in making sure to take great care in making sure that nothing was prepared in a previous pan with pork. I mean, they went above AND beyond in their dishes. They made my... picky sister who loves garlic and veggies and even though what she wanted wasn't on the menu, they made it for her anyway. Did all this with a smile and I REALLY enjoyed the visit even more because everything was so delicious. No matter who's food we were trying, you couldn't go wrong! You have to try this experience, you won't regret it😍read more

Amazing food and service - one of our new go-to restaurants!
I’m vegan and my partner is gluten-free, and both of our restrictions are served well by Golden House. Lots of options for both of us - almost any dish can be customized if you ask. Everything we’ve had was delicious, including the sesame chicken/veg chicken, rice lo mein, and orange chicken.
The atmosphere is friendly and service is great! Super friendly servers and cashier. It’s always a pleasure coming in.

Amazing!! The food has been so much better when bought out. We used to go with the previous owners but it was only for some quick fried rice and some egg drop soup. WOW!! Now, everything is so fresh and tastes awesome, you can really tell the owners have put a lot into making it good and it definitely shows :)

The food is excellent, the service is good, and it is reasonably priced. You can get your food normal, gluten free, vegan, and you can get vegan gluten-free. It has a very nice atmosphere.

I had an amazing meal, as always! Healthy Chinese food... the Ma Po Tofu is slightly spicy, and absolutely delicious! The dumplings were flavorful, and egg roll yummy! I’m looking forward to trying their Chinese eggplant dishes next time!

The service is good and the tofu and broccoli is great, but the ice water tasted gross. I decided to get a Sierra Mist and that tasted like a glass of poison. Bring your own beverage??? The fortune cookie was stale but the fortune was accurate.

Dined here yesterday for lunch with a friend at her recommendation for healthy Chinese food. Golden did not disappoint! The service was excellent. The restaurant was clean and the food superb! I had the Chicken and Broccoli with garlic sauce. All cooked to perfection. I had never had hot sour soup before, and tried it.... very tasty! My only negative is the egg roll. I lived near NYC and the egg rolls there are 3-4 times the size. The egg rolls here and most Chinese places in Tucson may... be more traditional, but my preference is the larger egg roll. There was nothing wrong with the flavor, just a preference. I will return, and I have already recommended this restaurant to a group of ladies who meet once a month for lunch! Best Chinese food I've had since coming back to the US! The food wasn't super salty or overly fried like most Chinese restaurants I've been to in the area. The vegetables were nice and crisp too. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend and will certainly be back!

I have been coming to this restaurant for years, since I was a little girl. When I realized that they had sold it I stopped going. I was scared to try it for 5 years! When I finally got the guts to try it again I was both ecstatic and disappointed at the same time! Disappointed I had deprived myself of the deliciousness that is Golden House for 5 years. Ecstatic the food was consistently delicious. The decor is improved and it's warm and inviting and the service is exceptional.

Golden House is a rare Gem! They are amazing. Beautiful and kind staff. The menu is incredible and their food is so delicious. They offer many options for people that have allergies and special food requests. I will keep coming back, even if I have to travel far!!!

First, let’s talk about the food! It’s really good and it’s Fresh! You will not get dried out rice with dinner. You will not get tough meats. All the veggies are snapping fresh all the time. The food is great quality and you get honest value for your money. In fact they have a super lunch special too. .
Now for the Staff; this family restaurant has wonderful service. They remember the customers by name. They make you feel welcome every time I walk through the door. I also see they treat... everyone that walks through their doors that way.
I’ve taken my time to write this review because I sincerely like the food, the owners as well as the staff. They have build a great business and I’m happy to leave this review for them.
